Vote for the best pub on the outskirts of Hereford
Recently we have received several reviews from pubs that are situated on the fringes of Hereford. These pubs are sometimes forgotten about, as the majority of drinkers head down Commercial Road and into town.
In the current economic climate, with pubs seemingly closing daily, we at the HMPG urge you to check out some of these drinking establishments and support your local pub.
Granted some of these places may not be your cup of tea (or should that be pint of beer?); others on the other hand, are hidden treasures. So go and check some of them out and vote below for your favourite.

Hereford's Black and White (Public) House
Well done to everyone who spotted that the below story was in fact an April fool! But, come to think of it, maybe its not that bad an idea afterall - remember where you heard it first!
In a confirmation of recent rumours, sources close to Herefordshire Council revealed last night that Hereford's Black and White house is to be opened as a Pub.

As part of the deal the Black and White House will remain open as a museum but will incorperate a fully licensed bar in the evenings which is sure to be a great attraction for both tourists and locals alike.
It is thought that local landlords will welcome the idea and if it proves a success more of Hereford's landmarks may get a pub makeover. Speculation is rife of a wine bar being incorperated into the Mappa Mundi exhibition centre and the chained library being opened as a bar and bistro.
