Where have all the beer mats gone?

Is it just me or does there seems to be a lack of beer mats around. During the last week I've been in several pubs in town and none of them have beer mats on the tables anymore. Why is this? Is there some new EU Directive banning them? I'm assuming they're gone on hygiene reasons, as they must be covered in germs and bacteria. If anyone knows for certain then please let me know.

It's just not the same, I remember having great fun playing with them: making a 'house of cards', or seeing how many you can put in your mouth, not to mention playing frisbee with them. And how much satisfaction did you get from peeling the top layer off in one complete sheet? Bring back the beer mats, they are sorely missed!

I noticed this sign outside the Saracen's Head the other day. I'm not too sure whether it will attract more customers or scare more away though - an interesting marketing ploy any way you look at it.

Rugby World Cup 2007

The 2007 Rugby World Cup is upon us. Well done to England yesterday for beating the Americans; and to Wales for beating Canada today- and good luck to all the Home Nations.

If you watch any of the games in the pub, then why not rate the place while you're there- it'll give you something to do at half time!

This tournament could cause a bit of a rift in the HM Pub Guide- as I am Welsh, and my colleague Mr. H is English. If things go to plan there could be a great quarter final on the cards!!!

The New Trailer

Seeing as there's been a lot of changes and updates happening to the website, we have decided to make a new trailer.
This advert takes into account that although we are based in Hereford, we are spreading our wings, and hope to become a nationwide pub guide.

Day 95 and the Big Brother house is empty...

It's been a long, drawn out affair; but this years Big Brother has finally come to an end.

However, even with the weight of the HM Pub Guide behind him Ziggy didn't manage to win.
